One was raised in the solitude of his father’s China retreat, the other brought up in the 30th Century. Each has complete supremacy in combat, be it Kung-Fu, judo or Klukor, and each has held his own against the mightiest combatants of their worlds with only their wits, their speed, and their philosophies. One is a master of all known forms of martial arts, the other a mere master of Kung-Fu, yet each is as formidable as any warrior you can imagine, and both have been overtly drawn to resemble Bruce Lee, leading to today’s Jeet Kune Do query…
The MS-QOTD (pronounced, as always, “misquoted”) leans towards Shang-Chi, even if Karate Kid once outfought Mon-El, asking: Who will you put your money on in an exhibition fight: Shang-Chi or Karate Kid?

Karate Kid, based on years of existence, which i assume also translates to combat experience. also, Karate Kid’s also expected to pull his weight alongside what, half a dozen Superman/Supergirl/Power Girl analogues along with a guy who can eat literally everything, an alien cyborg supergenius and another guy who turns into a giant sentient beach ball?
Karate Kid is clearly the more powerful combatant. In this exhibition match, he is William Zabka and Shang Chi would be Ralph Macchio. I prefer to put my money on the underdog, so I’d put it on Shang Chi to go the distance.
Karate Kid because of my LSH fandom, but I am looking forward to learning more about Shang Chi. I know close to nothing about the character.
As a looonnnggg time legion fan I would pick karate kid , but they would eventually stop fighting each other and fight together against the Evil Genius (TM) they are being manipulated by. Then shake hands and walk away as friends.
Agreed. Take that, evil genius!
Probably Karate Kid. I’d think Shang Chi is more skilled, but Karate Kid operates with people on Superman’s level.
KK hands down.
