As we mentioned in yesterday’s MS-QOTD, I’ve been considering the seasonal story of the three wise men, which of course does raise the question of what might come of three wise women.  In some ways, it’s actually harder to choose, as there seem to be more truly wise female characters to choose from.  There’s the wonderful Wasp. who led some very contentious Avengers, Zoë Alleyne Washburne of the crew of Serenity and even Lisa Simpson, the only member of her family who isn’t 40% idiot, leading us to today’s trifectal query…

The MS-QOTD (pronounced, as always, “misquoted”) would have to choose Velma Dinkley, Elaine from ‘Taxi‘ and Monica Rambeau of the Mighty Avengers, asking: What three Wise Women would you choose for perfect counsel?

Once upon a time, there was a young nerd from the Midwest, who loved Matter-Eater Lad and the McKenzie Brothers... If pop culture were a maze, Matthew would be the Minotaur at its center. Were it a mall, he'd be the Food Court. Were it a parking lot, he’d be the distant Cart Corral where the weird kids gather to smoke, but that’s not important right now... Matthew enjoys body surfing (so long as the bodies are fresh), writing in the third person, and dark-eyed women. Amongst his weaponry are such diverse elements as: Fear! Surprise! Ruthless efficiency! An almost fanatical devotion to pop culture! And a nice red uniform.

The Gallifreyan Doctor, for the same reason as yesterday.
The Ancient One (from Doctor Strange) for the wisdom of ages.
