I have to admit, it’s been a rough couple of weeks for me. Perspective dictates that I remember how lucky I am in the grand scheme of things, but it’s still been Not Good. If it weren’t for the fact that I spend my days locked in a bunker being yelled at by strangers, I’d say I needed to stay away from the internet, but what I really feel like I need are a few hopefuls stories. ‘All-Star Superman‘ is always a good one for me, as are innocuous sitcoms and goofy cartoons, but it’d be nice to have a few more go-tos, leading to today’s slowly-improving query…
The MS-QOTD (pronounced, as always, “misquoted”) supposes that having my favorite films end with the protagonists either dead, exploded, sucked through a collapsar or leaping off a bridge doesn’t really help in this situation, asking: What hopeful stories do you turn to when thing seem bleak?

Sometimes I find joy in YA entertainment can lift me out of a funk. Particularly boosting to my spirits were finding shows like “The Odd Squad” and “The Inbestigators.”
All-Star Superman in the best in traditional capes and tights department. Also, most of the “girl’s high school club” and “boys’ sports team” style anime shows or manga.
You know my answer is any Astro City story…
