Aaaaah, the television/movie tradition of the big ol’ romantical kiss…  Our inescapable reminder that, even in settings where it makes no sense, Hollywood demands a romantic sub-plot.  Even though I feel a bit manipulated by it, I can’t help but appreciate one done well, like Chase’s big smackeroo on Gert in ‘Runaways,’ or Homer and Marge on the motorcycle, or, yes, Ted and Victoria in the bakery, leading to today’s osculatory query…

The MS-QOTD (pronounced, as always, “misquoted”) wonders how many are reflexively thinking ‘Luke and Leia’, asking: Which pop-culture liplock constitutes your personal pick for greatest kiss?

Once upon a time, there was a young nerd from the Midwest, who loved Matter-Eater Lad and the McKenzie Brothers... If pop culture were a maze, Matthew would be the Minotaur at its center. Matthew enjoys body surfing (so long as the bodies are fresh), writing in the third person, and dark-eyed women. Amongst his weaponry are such diverse elements as: Fear! Surprise! Ruthless efficiency! An almost fanatical devotion to pop culture! And a nice red uniform.
