In these days of iTunes, Netflix and instant gratification, it’s much easier to be a fan of the pop culture we all love.  Where Stephen and I prowled creepy bookstores and moldy storage spaces for comic books in the 80s, today’s readers have onliner resources and hardcover collections even of characters nobody expected, even obscurities like Magicman and Howard The Duck.  The other day I even found streaming episodes of Supaidāman, one of Marvel’s lost heroes, and one will overdue for a renaissance.  Most of the things we DON’T have are due to issues rights, like reprints of ROM Spaceknight or the long-delayed release of Batman ’66.  I’m still frustrated at my inability to find an English-language copy of the ‘Choujin Sentai Jetman’ manga continuation, featuring the comic-only Sentai hero, Green Eagle, one of the big holes in my collection, which leads us to today’s lacunaic query…

The MS-QOTD (pronounced, as always, “misquoted”) imagines that Doctor Who fans might have a thing or two to say today, asking:  What missing episodes, issues, installments or films do you most wish you could experience?

Once upon a time, there was a young nerd from the Midwest, who loved Matter-Eater Lad and the McKenzie Brothers... If pop culture were a maze, Matthew would be the Minotaur at its center. Were it a mall, he'd be the Food Court. Were it a parking lot, he’d be the distant Cart Corral where the weird kids gather to smoke, but that’s not important right now... Matthew enjoys body surfing (so long as the bodies are fresh), writing in the third person, and dark-eyed women. Amongst his weaponry are such diverse elements as: Fear! Surprise! Ruthless efficiency! An almost fanatical devotion to pop culture! And a nice red uniform.
