From 1954 til 1974, James Bartholomew Olsen had his own monthly title, meaning that his run was longer than Hawk & Dove, The Question, Ambush Bug and Major Bummer combined, with room for all three volumes of the Secret Six.  In those years, he got super-powers like a hundred times, went to countless other planets, time-traveled back to babysit Superman on Krypton and got married to Lucy Lane half-a-dozen times.  Now, Jimmy’s back with his own limited series, one that I hope turns into an ongoing book again, leading to today’s bow-tie-wearing query…

Once upon a time, there was a young nerd from the Midwest, who loved Matter-Eater Lad and the McKenzie Brothers... If pop culture were a maze, Matthew would be the Minotaur at its center. Matthew enjoys body surfing (so long as the bodies are fresh), writing in the third person, and dark-eyed women. Amongst his weaponry are such diverse elements as: Fear! Surprise! Ruthless efficiency! An almost fanatical devotion to pop culture! And a nice red uniform.
