There are a lot of costumes that are a little bit… questionable among our favorite fictional folk.  Cosmic Boy wore a corset, elbow gloves and boots alone at one point, and there were crewmen of the USS Enterprise D who wore a unisex t-shirt dress in Season 1.  Heck, even Luke Skywalker wore a white kimono and legwraps for most of ‘Star Wars’, meaning that clothing long, long ago was as much a problem as it is today.  If you’re worried about inappropriate costume choices, Starfire wears nothing more than a purple metal bikini and bracers pretty much everywhere she goes in a kids cartoon, leading to today’s sartorial query…

The MS-QOTD (pronounced, as always, “misquoted”) has no problem with shirtless superheroes, but draws the line as no pants, asking: What’s the most inappropriate costume in all of pop culture?

Once upon a time, there was a young nerd from the Midwest, who loved Matter-Eater Lad and the McKenzie Brothers... If pop culture were a maze, Matthew would be the Minotaur at its center. Were it a mall, he'd be the Food Court. Were it a parking lot, he’d be the distant Cart Corral where the weird kids gather to smoke, but that’s not important right now... Matthew enjoys body surfing (so long as the bodies are fresh), writing in the third person, and dark-eyed women. Amongst his weaponry are such diverse elements as: Fear! Surprise! Ruthless efficiency! An almost fanatical devotion to pop culture! And a nice red uniform.
