A quirky, little Doom Patrol reference trivia.
Danny La Rue was a popular Drag performer in Britain during the ’60s, ’70s & ’80s.
My High School French is a bit rusty but I do believe “la Rue” means “the Street”.
Fight Club is a beat for beat based on the Great Gatsby? I want to listen to that podcast.
Challengers predates FF
Also, the original DP lasted from My Greatest Adventure 86-121 (the title changed to DP as of 90) that was only 36 issues. The 80’s comic ran for over 80 issues, most of those being GM’s issues.
You really have the facts about the Chief/Robotman/Candlemaker completely screwed up at the end. The Chief was the bad guy, he shot Joshua. Dorothy granted the Candlemaker release in exchange for saving Joshua, who he immediately killed again and then destroyed Cliff’s brain (he was backed up on hard drive).
