It seems like only yesterday I was watching ‘Hellboy’ and thinking how good Vincent from ‘Beauty and the Beast’ looked, but it was in fact fifteen years ago. Before I disappear into a sad realization of my own advanced age, though, I started thinking about the Hellboy series. First of all, I always thought there were three of them, for some reason, and that last one hit theatres in 2008, meaning that this year’s continuation of the series will make for a Hellboy reboot after almost exactly a decade. That feels a little bit soon to me, but when Spider-Man has had six-and-a-half movies in seventeen years, perhaps not, leading us to today’s wall-crawling query…
The MS-QOTD (pronounced, as always, “misquoted”) is reserving judgement on that hairpiece until I see it in the finished film, asking: Does it feel like it’s too soon for a Hellboy reboot?

I’m fine with it, as long as its good. Hellboy fits well in different types of stories and storytellers by nature too, I’m not bothered about any continuity or not when it comes to him.
One movie was really enough for me.
