This weeks Flash/Arrow/Supergirl crossover brought us the debut of Ruby Rose as Batwoman, in an episode chockful of Batman references and Easter Eggs.  On the plus side, I liked most of her armor, she was an okay actress (though her “intense” face felt a little “constipated”), they made a “corner of Nolan and Burton joke” and Supergirl was adorable, as always.  In the Delta column, at least for me, was the mask and red wig headgear combination which tried too hard to emulate Christian Bale’s headgear and was even brighter and more obviously fake than the comic book version, leading to today’s vermilion query…

The MS-QOTD (pronounced, as always, “misquoted”) thinks that there’s a lot of potential in the character as presented, don’t get me wrong, it’s just so… RED, asking: The Red Wig for CW Batwoman: Yay or Nay?

Once upon a time, there was a young nerd from the Midwest, who loved Matter-Eater Lad and the McKenzie Brothers... If pop culture were a maze, Matthew would be the Minotaur at its center. Were it a mall, he'd be the Food Court. Were it a parking lot, he’d be the distant Cart Corral where the weird kids gather to smoke, but that’s not important right now... Matthew enjoys body surfing (so long as the bodies are fresh), writing in the third person, and dark-eyed women. Amongst his weaponry are such diverse elements as: Fear! Surprise! Ruthless efficiency! An almost fanatical devotion to pop culture! And a nice red uniform.

  1. Yay!
I think it finished off the look perfectly.
I’m thinking with the way “Batman” disappeared in this reality it is no longer the Arrowverse. This is the Nolanverse, where Christen Bale once played our dark knight.
