Whenever the discussion of 3-D movies comes up, I always think about ‘The Green Hornet’, a movie whose creators went to great effort to convert it so that it could be viewed in 3-D without once realizing that the movie was really pretty awful. For a few years, all the big releases had to be released in three dimensions, regardless of whether the movie benefited from it or not, leading to some really terrible stuff (as well as a few exploitative messes like ‘The Final Destination’, which featured a lot of dismembered body parts flying at the camera) and also leading to today’s stereoscopic query…
The MS-QOTD (pronounced, as always, “misquoted”) actually really enjoyed ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ in 3-D, and found it slightly less enjoyable (though still pretty great) in standard format, asking: What movie did you find was actually better in 3-D?

Krull. It’s the only way that starfish weapon makes any sense.
