Recent forays into the X-Men franchise have revealed that Magneto is once again seemingly the villain he used to be, meaning that the pendulum has swung back from his recent run as a member of the X-Men. Depending on the writer, our man Magnus goes from unrepentant murderous bloodthirsty terror to noble man forced to take drastic action against a world that hates and fears him. For every story where we find out his tragic past, there’s one where he killed hundreds of people by sinking a submarine, leaving the truth about Magneto in the eye of the beholder, leading to today’s behelmeted query…
The MS-QOTD (pronounced, as always, “misquoted”) thinks that the matter is even more complex in the Marvel Universe, where even the heroes are responsible (and forgiven for) massive body counts, asking: What do you feel is the truth about Magneto: Misunderstood antihero or utter monster?
