When I was a kid and there were only three TV channels, Sunday night always meant ‘The Wonderful World of Disney’, a showcase where I first saw a number of movies that I sorta-kinda remember today: ‘Candleshoe’, ‘Pollyanna’, ‘The Parent Trap’ and more. That all ended in the 80s, but for a long time, it was the best way to get your film fix, what with VCRs not being available to the public yet and digital streaming have yet to be invented. It was a simpler time, one where corporate overlords were still sort of subtle in their attempts to control our consumption of their media, leading to today’s subjective query…
The MS-QOTD (pronounced, as always, “misquoted”) has a nostalgic love of ‘Herbie Goes Bananas’, but my vote will always go to the Big D’s shot at making their own Star Wars, a movie called ‘The Black Hole’, asking: Which Disney film of any era is the best of the Wonderful World of Disney?

I gotta go with “The Black Hole” just because it is the one I remember looking forward to most when they would show it, at least until I got my (first) VHS copy in the late 80’s.
Which reminds me, I still need to get it on DVD since my last VCR broke a few years ago.
Flight of the Navigator was my absolute favorite movie as a kid, so I guess nostalgia makes it my default answer for this question.
Of ANY era? The Incredibles.
Of old-enough-to-make-it-on WWoD era? Probably 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea.
Pinocchio. Beautiful backgrounds, wonderful songs, scary (for children) monsters and a happy ending.
Yea, Black Hole was a good movie, better than people give it credit for.
Tron
and The Apple Dumpling Gang
Oh and Candleshoe
Annnd original Freaky Friday
Plus any of those Kurt Russell teen movies
