I have heard too many horror stories about how crowded SDCC is, how little it has to do with comics and the difficulty of trying to find affordable lodging. I try to find smaller conventions that focus on comics and try to meet independent authors/artists.
Way too hard and expensive for a regular guy from Europe.
Are there any comic book conventions in Finland?
Nope. I want to go, if just to snag a few exclusives (particularly Bandai’s last Power Rangers SDCC exclusives since the rights go to Hasbro next year), but I can’t even afford admission, let alone the travel and lodging expenses.
