The proliferation of super-teams has long been a problem for clarity and brevity when speaking.  In addition to the Avengers, Mighty Avengers, Uncanny Avengers and West Coast Avengers, we now have a choice of X-Men Red, Gold or Blue.  It’s actually better than the days when we had X-Force, X-Factor, X-Statix, X-Trapolation and X-Crement, but the color variants are still a little bit confusing.  Moreover, it’s kind of hard to remember who does what on which team where, meaning most of the time we’re just voting on which color we actually like best, leading to today’s mutated query…

The MS-QOTD (pronounced, as always, “misquoted”) wants to make it clear that “None of the above” is not a valid response, so play by the nonexistent rules, asking: X-Men Red, Gold or Blue?

So… are we talking Command, Ops/Engineering or Science/Medical? What ever the color, I don’t want to be a Redshirt.

Red has Honey Badger and Namor and I want to see a friendship grow between them. But for some reason I still like Blue more. Not sure why!

The one with proper Cyclops and none of X-anythings.

Once upon a time, there was a young nerd from the Midwest, who loved Matter-Eater Lad and the McKenzie Brothers... If pop culture were a maze, Matthew would be the Minotaur at its center. Were it a mall, he'd be the Food Court. Were it a parking lot, he’d be the distant Cart Corral where the weird kids gather to smoke, but that’s not important right now... Matthew enjoys body surfing (so long as the bodies are fresh), writing in the third person, and dark-eyed women. Amongst his weaponry are such diverse elements as: Fear! Surprise! Ruthless efficiency! An almost fanatical devotion to pop culture!

And a nice red uniform.
