Young me really liked the energy of the McFarlane cover, but old me finds the anatomically… challenging… nature of Spidey increasingly problematic as the years go by. In comparison, the Romita cover also has a strong energy and still conveys the emotional weight it needs to make me want to pick up that comic and read that story. #50 for the win!

The Issue #50 cover. It is mysterious and draws you in, where the other, while interesting, is just Spidey mid-swing.
