#5 Strana Mechty – Capital world of the Clans and site of the Great Refusal. Without the colonization of this world by Alexander Kerensky during the Exodus, there would be no Battletech universe.
#4 Mars – what planet has threatened the Earth more than our nearest neighbor? and despite all of our exploration of the planet, they are able to hide their spaceship manufacturing facilities and population centers – to only waste them all on another failed attack on the Earth.
#3 Shannon’s World – the Pleasure planet of Simon Green’s Deathstalker saga. Pre Shub AI invasion it was a planet of living toys – from stuffed animals to super hero action figures. Definitely a planet I would have loved to visit,
#2 Oerth – Home of the World of Greyhawk. As a decades long AD&D player, I have spent so much time on this planet. Definitely a favorite of mine.
#1 Skaro – Birthplace of the greatest villain of all fiction : the Daleks. The first Dr Who I ever saw was Genesis of the Daleks (on public TV back in late 70’s or early 80’s). I was hooked.
