The latest trailer for Marvel’s The Punisher trailer has arrived and there’s something about the trailer that seems… odd.

After exacting revenge on those responsible for the death of his wife and children, Frank Castle uncovers a conspiracy that runs far deeper than New York’s criminal underworld.

Is it just me, or does this trailer try to make the character more sympathetic? I know a lot of people have a problem with The Punisher due to his kill first policy, but this seems a bit more man against the machine than I’ve seen before.

What are your reactions to this trailer? Is it a lot of bang with little substance, or do you think the series will give us a deep character study?
