In my household, we will occasionally break out into board gaming once or twice a year. It’s a holdover from the days of my youth I was told what it means to be a man when my grandmother used Scrabble as a teaching tool. We, like so many families, have never finished a game of ‘Monopoly’ by the rules, but have occasionally gotten through a full round of ‘The Game Of Life’ and do pretty well with ‘Scattergories.’ (‘Clue’ is right out, seeing as how it implies violence, which would likely pour over into real life.) Thanks to my proclivities, I’m mostly banned from playing word games and my wife’s competitive nature spills out in gaming, making the question of Monopoly or Scrabble a loaded one for me, and leading to today’s query for 4 to 6 players…
The MS-QOTD (pronounced “parr-cheese-ee”) is likewise banned from playing Playstation ‘Jeopardy” but that’s for different reasons, asking: Monopoly Or Scrabble?

I’m going with Scrabble just because I love making people look up words I use and seeing them get all moody when they realize it is a real word.
Scrabble, Monopoly is too dependant on luck for my taste
Hmmm… Scrabble or a sharp, stabbing pain behind my eyes… I think I’ll go with Scrabble.
Seeing as how Monopoly is kind of awful, and Scrabble lets me put my English major to use to rack up impressive scores, this isn’t really even a question for me.
This is by far the most one-sided question I have seen on this site. Scrabble by miles.
