6) BOMBSHELL

Empowered by the government to duplicate the powers of Captain Atom, Amy Allen has had a very tumultuous relationship with DC Comics’ Teen Titans.  Originally joining the team during the untold adventures in the missing year (as seen in the miniseries ’52’), she joined the team as a traitor, then was ejected and wound up as part of Deathstroke’s Titans East team before finally making her way into the Titans team proper as a full member.

Initially just a bomb-throwing anarchist (literally), she fell in love with juggling super-villain Oddball, and learned the ins-and-outs of his tricks, eventually becoming and expert juggler and founding member of The Death-Throws.  Now a mercenary for hire, she is seldom seen without her beau, Oddball, and their repeated employer, the villain known as Crossfire.  You have to give her credit, though; not everyone could pull off pink pleather thigh boots…

About Author

Once upon a time, there was a young nerd from the Midwest, who loved Matter-Eater Lad and the McKenzie Brothers... If pop culture were a maze, Matthew would be the Minotaur at its center. Were it a mall, he'd be the Food Court. Were it a parking lot, he’d be the distant Cart Corral where the weird kids gather to smoke, but that’s not important right now... Matthew enjoys body surfing (so long as the bodies are fresh), writing in the third person, and dark-eyed women. Amongst his weaponry are such diverse elements as: Fear! Surprise! Ruthless efficiency! An almost fanatical devotion to pop culture! And a nice red uniform.
