I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: Crossbones is THE WORST.  Not in a “love to cheer against him” way or a “hero of his own story” way, but in a completely awful, indefensible way.  He’s a warmed over collection of tough guy tropes, borrowing from The Punisher, Taskmaster and other superior villains (and, yes, both The Punisher and Taskmaster are primarily villains, we’ll fight about that later) and is one of the few Mark Gruenwald creations that I truly cannot stand.  In short, if I never read another Crossbones story, it’ll be too soon, leading us to today’s rare-chance-to-get-all-negative query…

The MS-QOTD (pronounced, as always, “misquoted”) once again reminds Faithful Spoilerites that we’re talking fictional monsters, so any of the myraid real-world jerks and villains are ineligible for this MS-QOTD, asking: What fictional character is The Worst, the most awful, the one you cannot stand, deal with or countenance for even a moment?

Once upon a time, there was a young nerd from the Midwest, who loved Matter-Eater Lad and the McKenzie Brothers... If pop culture were a maze, Matthew would be the Minotaur at its center. Were it a mall, he'd be the Food Court. Were it a parking lot, he’d be the distant Cart Corral where the weird kids gather to smoke, but that’s not important right now... Matthew enjoys body surfing (so long as the bodies are fresh), writing in the third person, and dark-eyed women. Amongst his weaponry are such diverse elements as: Fear! Surprise! Ruthless efficiency! An almost fanatical devotion to pop culture!

And a nice red uniform.

Justin, the Blue Ranger from “Power Rangers Turbo”. I have nothing against the actor, nor did I really hate the “kid becomes fully grown ranger” thing, I just can’t stand the character. Doesn’t help that the entire series is a bit weird since they tried making a “serious” series out of a comical Super Sentai series. I could have tolerated the series if it wasn’t for him, even with the bizarre stuff happening to Bulk and Skull.

Toss up iron man or spiderman. Never could stand them. Every spiderman cartoon from 2000 on made it worse!

I don’t think there are any. There are just some I don’t have a slightest interest of ever seeing, but its not quite the same.
