While the Justice League movie is getting a lot of attention this week, the magical side of the DCCU is also getting a bit of news, too. Director Doug Liman has parted ways with the Justice League Dark movie.
According to Variety, Doug Liman left the project, not over creative differences, but because his schedule is all skewed thanks to his upcoming gig on Lionsgate’s Chaos Walking. While I can totally understand scheduling conflicts, at times a lot of these errors could be avoided with a really good calendar, with dates and schedules done in ink.
So, until we get the go ahead for the life action Justice League: Dark Universe, you’ll have to settle for Justice League Dark, the animated movie released in January featuring Batman, John Constantine, Zatanna, Deadman, Etrigan, Swamp Thing, and more. It’s not bad, but definitely not the horror filled flick we are hoping to get from Warner Bros.
