NANCY DREW AND THE HARDY BOYS: THE BIG LIE #2
Writer: Anthony Del Col
Artist: Werther Dell’Edera
Publisher: Dynamite Entertainment
Cover Price: $3.99
SOLICITATION: Nancy Drew has a killer plan. In order to clear their names from accusations of their father’s murder, she and the Hardy Boys will have to infiltrate a family of petty thieves — by beating them at their own (card) games!
The classic characters dive deeper into the seedy underbelly of a tourist-town — and they begin to find out if they’re really able to go bad in order to do good.
STEPHEN: The first two issues have been really interesting reads. It is clear that Anthony Del Col has done his research as characters and book titles from the publishing line pop up left and right as casually as if you were saying hello to your aunt Jean. When you hear that a publisher is creating a “noir version of classic characters,” it really sends up a warning flag, but in this case, take the flag down, and dive deep into this mystery.
