STEPHEN: Yes, it is a soft reboot in the middle of the Rebirth universe. but the new history of Superman is finally here! We get to see Krypton for the very first time… AGAIN! Plus, a baby is rocketed from a dying planet like you’ve never seen before! And, evil forces are beginning to conspire. STEPHEN: This is your regular reminder that Atomic Robo is the best comic series you will ever read. Today you can begin your fabulous journey into the world of Action Scientists and robots that punch every manner of baddie in the face.

You are welcome.

DUNGEONS & DRAGONS FROST GIANTS FURY #2

HELLBOY AND BPRD 1954 GHOST MOON #2

Publisher: Dark Horse Comics
Cover Price: $3.99
SOLICITATION: Hellboy squares off against a pair of Chinese demons while Sue psychically hunts down the source of the supernatural trouble in Hong Kong.

STEPHEN: You had me at Hellboy… I have a feeling by the time Mignola finally retires, ever single day from Hellboy’s birth until his final adventure will have been told in exacting detail. Ghost Moon #1 was a great hook, and now we get a pair of Chinese demons causing even more problems for Hellboy and the crew of the BPRD. Definitely a must buy this week!

NANCY DREW AND THE HARDY BOYS: THE BIG LIE #2
Writer: Anthony Del Col
Artist: Werther Dell’Edera
Publisher: Dynamite Entertainment
Cover Price: $3.99
SOLICITATION: Nancy Drew has a killer plan. In order to clear their names from accusations of their father’s murder, she and the Hardy Boys will have to infiltrate a family of petty thieves — by beating them at their own (card) games!

The classic characters dive deeper into the seedy underbelly of a tourist-town — and they begin to find out if they’re really able to go bad in order to do good.

STEPHEN: The first two issues have been really interesting reads. It is clear that Anthony Del Col has done his research as characters and book titles from the publishing line pop up left and right as casually as if you were saying hello to your aunt Jean. When you hear that a publisher is creating a “noir version of classic characters,” it really sends up a warning flag, but in this case, take the flag down, and dive deep into this mystery.
