I personally get a kick out of the Rivers of London series, so it is really interesting to learn Titan Comics is launching Rivers of London: Detective Stories spin-off.

Rivers of London tells the adventures of Peter Grant, a young officer in the Metropolitan Police; “who, following an unexpected encounter with a ghost, is recruited into the small branch of the Met that deals with magic and the supernatural,” thus becoming the first English apprentice wizard in over seventy years.

Rivers of London: Detective Stories will feature four self-contained magical crime stories set in the world made popular in the Rivers of London book series.  If readers ever needed a jumping on point for the Rivers of London series, this could be the mini-series.

Rivers of London: Detective Stories #1 is written by Ben Aaronovitch and Andrew Cartmel, with art by Lee Sullivan. The first issue of the four-issue mini-series is set to arrive on June 7, 2017.
