We are only a few days into March, but we know how comics sold for the month that was. As the headline suggests, Star Wars: Darth Maul #1 was able to snag the top spot for February.
DC Comics had seven titles in the top ten in February, but that still wasn’t enough for the publisher to take the top spot, as Marvel had 37.46% of the dollar share and 33.64% or the unit share compared to DC’s 30.23% and 33.47% respectively.

There was a bit of a drop in the money earned by the industry in February. Dollar amounts dropped 4.67% even though there was an uptick in the number of comics sold compared to January 2017 (3.65%). The year to year slump continues as February 2017 drop 4.47% compared to February 2016, even though the number of comics sold was up 17.29%. For the first two months of 2017 comic sales are down 2.06%.
