1) CAPTAIN AMERICA (William Burnside)
So, the offcial Captain America timeline goes like this: Bradley never officially became Cap. Rogers was lost and presumed dead. Naslund was murdered. Mace finished out the war. By 1954, Captain America was nothing more than a memory, until Cap superfan William Burnside got involved. Getting plastic surgery to resemble Steve Rogers and having his name legally changed, he became the Captain America of the 1950s, fighting Communists with an unsettling fervor. His mental state was uncertain and kept deteriorating throughout his short career, as his Super Soldier process was incomplete. The damage to his mind lead him to see anti-American sentiments everywhere, especially in those who were not Caucasian. Becoming a liability to the government, Burnside was placed in suspended animation for years, eventually returning to menace the Captain Americas that followed him. (His Bucky, Jack Monroe, eventually died in the guise of the second Nomad.)

As with any set of like items, these aren’t meant to be hard and fast or absolutely complete, especially since there’s that whole Bucky thing to consider, and of course there’s the strange case of District Attorney Grant Gardner.

No Bucky/Winter Soldier run of Cap? Was this due to it being too dark of a run of Cap?
