9) COYOTE

A shape-shifting trickster from another culture, Coyote makes his way into the world of men in the most spectacular way possible: By finding Las Vegas.  His adventures take him into realms political, spiritual and more, and even give him a girlfriend who is the reincarnation of an Indian goddess, with the implications throughout that he is the anthropomorphic spirit of legend, who stole fire from the gods to deliver to mankind…

Once upon a time, there was a young nerd from the Midwest, who loved Matter-Eater Lad and the McKenzie Brothers... If pop culture were a maze, Matthew would be the Minotaur at its center.   1. I was so hoping to see DC’s Vext on this list. I didn’t read it when it first because I was in a super serious mood in high school but I found and read it last year. Really fun!
