During the New York Comic Con pane, Power Rangers fans were treated to the first trailer for the upcoming Power Rangers movie.

SABAN’S POWER RANGERS follows five ordinary teens who must become something extraordinary when they learn that their small town of Angel Grove — and the world — is on the verge of being obliterated by an alien threat. Chosen by destiny, our heroes quickly discover they are the only ones who can save the planet. But to do so, they will have to overcome their real-life issues and before it’s too late, band together as the Power Rangers.

With the movie arriving in March 2017, it’s about time we saw some live action footage.

The big question now is, “Will you go see the movie?”

  1. I’m still in the middle ground, neither super excited nor disappointed. Just waiting to see it before I make any big judgements.

Not too crazy about the “powers even without the armor” angle, but mostly because it wasn’t part of the original mythology of the particular series (would be different if it were an original team or something like RPM or Dino Thunder where having powers in civilian form was part of the story). Not a huge issue, though, just personal tastes.

Can’t wait til we get to see some proper Zord footage and actual screen time of the full armor (curious if the blue chest diamonds are some pulsing energy thing or something that we can’t really tell from still images).
