6) FANTOMEN
Though The Phantom was initially created by Lee Falk in 1936, his adventures have been adapted into multiple languages and remain popular around the world. Since the year 1950, though, his adventures have appeared in Sweden under the title “Fantomen”. What qualified him for this list, at least to me, is that fact that the Fantomen stories have been produced locally since the 60s, and the character is portrayed with different uniform colors, making him almost a different character. At the very least, a strong case can be made that Fantomen is the ‘Earth-Sweden’ version of Falk’s pulp hero…
