We’ve already seen actor Peter Serafinowicz in his Tick costume for the upcoming Tick series on Amazon, and today we get our first look at the pilot in two newly released clips.

The Tick, created in 1988 by Ben Edlund, follows the comedic adventures of The Tick, a square-jawed, muscular hero, who fights crime, but seems to be a bit oblivious at times. In 1994, the character got his own animated series on Fox, and then in 2001, Fox created a live-action television series featuring Patrick Warburton as the title character.

Amazon’s pilot season will feature its take on The Tick, and if it is successful enough, we’ll get a full season.

The pilot should be available today on Amazon.

The clips were better than I was expecting them to be. Hopefully once I get a chance to see the actual episode I’ll be just as entertained. I’ve been a big fan of The Tick since my older brother first showed me the comics shortly before the animated series came out, so I really hope the whole thing does the characters and setting justice.
