I’m glad Teach is there to remind the party they need to have backup plans. And supplies for Lec.
I wonder why the party doesn’t try and get Lec in on the planning. Just pop him a sending and ask if there’s a good time to pick him up, when he’s the least guarded, etc.
Hopefully next week we’ll get the exciting action-packed infiltration episode, where they majestically pull this thing off without a hitch! (^_~)
Has there ever been a heist movie / novel / TV show / podcast / ANYTHING where the characters have laid out exactly what they’re planning to do and how they expect it to go, and then it’s actually gone that way? Ever?
Ocean’s Eleven?
It’s been a long time since I saw that one, but I seem to recall they omit a bunch of the plan when they’re explaining it to the audience, so we see it go wrong, and then a flashback reveals that what went wrong was ALSO secretly part of the plan. Man, it would be awesome if GMs let us get away with that. “Ah, but we planned for this contingency! Let’s flash back to when we anticipated this and had Randus make the exact thing we need to get out of this seemingly unexpected situation!”
Otherwise known as the Bill & Ted Maneuver.
Gotta remember a trashcan…
There are a few games that basically allow you to do that. Exalted lets you introduce facts with some charms to make a situation go your way and Adventure! lets you spend an in-game resource to say “Ohh, but I come here all the time and I know there’s an escape hatch right here.”
Does anyone have an idea on where we are in the story? The last couple of episodes feels like the build up to a climax, and you could argue that the midpoint in the story was when the gang got back on the natural world.
What’d you guys think?
You are exactly where you need to be in the story ;)
Hey I enjoy the story! I’m just thinking :)
