You may have seen teasers for a little movie called The Woods, from Lionsgate. Last night at the San Diego Comic Con the movie was shown, but much to the audience’s surprise, the movie isn’t actually called The Woods, but rather The Blair Witch!

Yes, it’s a sequel, and yes we have more info, after the jump.

Going back to the found-footage roots of the original 1999 film, Blair Witch features a new group of college kids going into the legendarily creepy Black Hills Forest in Burkittsville, Md. James thinks he sees his sister — who disappeared in that first doomed mission into the woods years earlier — in a YouTube video and gathers friends to go back to the spooky house and see if she’s OK.

The Blair Witch arrives in theaters on September 16th.

I know at least one Major Spoilerite (Matthew), who will be too scared to see this one.

Are you ready for a sequel?
