[SCC’16] Mouse Guard picked up for feature film adaptation #SDCC

BOOM! Studios has announced that David Petersen’s Mouse Guard is getting the movie treatment!

The Mouse Guard movie is being written by Gary Whitta. Yes, that Gary Whitta who wrote the upcoming Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.

Let that sink in for a moment.

Mouse Guard was launched in 2005, and follows an elite group of mice who are sworn to protect mousekind from their enemies and keep order in the territories.

There is no word on a release date for the film, but David Petersen will be at the San Diego Comic Con this week, and will host The World of Mouse Guard panel at 5:00 PM in Room 32AB. Whitta will be there as well as Cameron Chittock, and Hal Lublin of the Thrilling Adventure Hour who will perform a live reading of a Mouse Guard short story.

I think this is the panel I want to see!
