Warner Bros. and MGM have announced the new Tomb Raider movie will arrive in theaters on March 16, 2018.
The first two Tomb Raider movies have grossed $432 million worldwide, which means it is totally worth it for the studios to get a new flick in front of fans. It’s been thirteen years since Lara Croft raided tombs, and with Angelina Jolie out of the picture, Alicia Vikander will get the chance to impress audiences. Fortunately, she comes into the franchise with The Danish Girl and Ex Machina under her belt.
With the video game series getting a reboot to feature a younger Lara, and a very different story from what came before, I kind of hope they move away from the sexy jiggly and move to the female action star.
