When the second season of Supergirl arrives on The CW on October 10th, not only will the series have a Superman, it also has a Wonder Woman.
Actress Lynda Carter, who played Wonder Woman on the 1975-1979 television series, has been hired to play the President of the United States.
I know this is completely new news, but I could have sworn this was announced months ago. Shows what happens when you are tripping through time and space… like ya do….
There is no information on how often Carter will appear on the show, but I expect with a big casting win like Carter we will see her more than a few times in season two.
Supergirl did cause more than a few heads to pop up during the first season when Dean Cain (Superman, the New Adventures of Lois and Clark), and Helen Slater (1984’s Supergirl) were cast as Kara Zor-El’s adopted parents, Jeremiah and Eliza Danvers. Cain appeared on three episodes while Slater appeared on four. I expect Lynda Carter as the President, and Tyler Hoechlin as Superman, will do at least that many episodes when Supergirl arrives this Fall.
