[Business] Titan Comics secures rights to create original Robotech comics

With Voltron, and Mighty Morphin Power Rangers filling up the comic book spinner rack, it was only a matter of time before Robotech made it to the big time.

Titan Comics has announced it has secured the rights to produce comics based on the animated series that first aired in the USA in 1985.

Produced by Harmony Gold USA, the original 85-episode series delved into humanity’s struggle against a series of alien invasions, from the gigantic Zentraedi to the mysterious Invid, battling for control of advanced alien technology that crash-landed on Earth. Now, return to the Robotech Saga for all-new adventures!

“At Titan we’re thrilled to be publishing brand new Robotech comic books,” said Direct Sales & Marketing Manager Ricky Claydon. “It’s a privilege to contribute to the rich galactic tapestry of such a beloved franchise. Titan Comics promises to delight original fans and newcomers alike.”

The Robotech comic is set to debut in 2017.
