With the news that they’ve finally cast a Superman to appear on the second season of ‘Supergirl’, we may finally get away from the long shots, shadowed cameos and ‘red boots in the other room’ appearances that were one of the most-mocked aspects of S1. Of course, this isn’t the first time the Man of Steel has appeared on the small screen (that was over SIXTY years ago.) Heck, if we count appearances of Superboy and the non-costumed adventures of Tom Welling, there might even be enough for a special edition of Ten Things, he said sigNIFicantly, leading us to today’s solar-powered query…
The MS-QOTD (pronounced, as always, “misquoted”) has never seen the ‘Teen Wolf’ TV series, but hopes that it has a ton of basketball scenes, asking: Which small-screen incarnation of the Man Of Steel is the top TV Superman?

Of all, the DCAU incarnation.
Of live-action, as cheesy as it was, Dean Cain’s version from “Lois and Clark”.
Tom Welling for sure; would have been “super” if they got him for the role in Supergirl, though I’m a huge fan of Tyler.
Honorable mention to Tim Daly for the animated series, he’s my definitive voice for Clark.
I love the beady-eyed, barrel-chested version popularized in Superman: The Animated Series.
Probably animated Superman, followed by George Reeves.
