With the return of Batwoman to the forefront of the New 52, I’m reminded how much more I like her costume than the basic Batman suit.  As much as I hated Nightwing with red highlights (switching him back to blue is another of the better ideas to come along with Rebirth), Batwoman’s deep black and blood-red makes for an incredible image, much better than any of the other members of the Bat-family.  (Especially Red Robin’s wacky wing-suit.)  I have a predilection for red and black anyway, which means my personal super-cape would be in the hues of vermilion, but I understand that not everyone shares my opinions, leading to today’s primary query…

The MS-QOTD (pronounced, as always, “misquoted”) would, paradoxically, hate it if Batman suddenly started wearing red and black, though, because he’d be biting her style, asking: Red Cape or Blue Cape?

Once upon a time, there was a young nerd from the Midwest, who loved Matter-Eater Lad and the McKenzie Brothers... If pop culture were a maze, Matthew would be the Minotaur at its center. Were it a mall, he'd be the Food Court. Were it a parking lot, he’d be the distant Cart Corral where the weird kids gather to smoke, but that’s not important right now... Matthew enjoys body surfing (so long as the bodies are fresh), writing in the third person, and dark-eyed women. Amongst his weaponry are such diverse elements as: Fear! Surprise! Ruthless efficiency! An almost fanatical devotion to pop culture!

And a nice red uniform.

I’m used to Blue cape, except with Superman related heroes. Blue, with exception of Kryptonians.
