Surface Tension from Titan Comics has been optioned for television, according to the publisher.

The series launched earlier this year by Jay Gunn, and it must have enough potential for a producer to pick up and see if it can be developed.

Months ago, 99% of humanity walked into the sea and dissolved. When two people are washed up on the beach of the tiny island of Breith – their biology completely rewritten – the survivors of Breith are thrown into chaos. Are they our last hope – or our executioners?

With the popularity of Outcast, Walking Dead, and other horror/sci-fi themed series, it makes sense that this series would catch someone’s attention.

Keep in mind that an option is not a television series, nor is it even a pilot. It simply means someone has purchased the rights to attempt to develop it for a network.
