I’m not sure when or where DC’s biggest heroes started being referred to as ‘The Trinity,’ but I’ll tell ya: I really dislike it.  The 2006 Justice League series was the best example of the problem, wherein Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman were treated as separate and distinct from the rest of the League, leading to a schism that destroyed the team.  (In fact, it destroyed the team more than once.)  Still, the triumvirate of alien powerhouse raised by common folk, magical golem from a hidden island of warriors and orphaned child using everything in his power to end crime can still make for good stories, if only for comparison and contrast, and everybody has their favored member of DC’s big three, leading to today’s “Stop saying TRINITY!” query…

The MS-QOTD (pronounced, as always, “misquoted”) isn’t going to give this one additional context, instead counting on y’all, the Faithful Spoilerites to provide your own, asking: Superman, Batman Or Wonder Woman?

First off, I always loved them referred to as the Trinity, as it represents them as a connected three pronged powerhouse, which, of course they are… they each have something in them that can be represented in any other DC superhero, Speed. willpower, strength, dexterity, intelligence are all present in equal enough quantities in these three to allow them even footing with every other Hero or Villain out there.

but that isn’t the question here.

The answer to the Question of Superman, Batman Or Wonder Woman depends on the context. who has the best hair? who can eat more little chocolate donuts? Basically which of the three is best suited for the situation at hand.

For anything cerebral, or that requires mental understanding and logical or rational thought. I would always go Batman. For matters of physical strength or that would require the person to take damage and walk away, Superman is neigh on unstoppable, and is always the choice. For Matters of heart, and emotional concern, Of the three, I would have to pick Wonder Woman out as the most empathic and sensitive, and with the strongest moral compass, but the willingness to do what is right at the time, in the situation, rather than let her pure feeling guide her.

And Obviously THe flash wins on the little chocolate donut eating contest

Used to be Batman because I’m 80’s kid. However, after decades of Bat-favoritism and overexposure, Superman forever because I like the underdog.

The one I aspire to follow most, as in who I try to emulate, is Superman. Not because of his powers, but because of his stances, his beliefs, his almost naive sense of goodness… He’s the one I most want to be like. You don’t need powers to stand up for what you think is right.

Probably not quite the context expected, but I figure if I’m using my own context, I’ll explain which one I most want to be like.

Wonder Woman, always. Superman is way too ‘lawful good’ to my liking (and no, I don’t like ‘dark’ Superman either) and Batman… I was ok with Batman being the world’s greatest detective, but I really hate that nowadays he can do basically everything. I’d enjoy him as either an awesome martial artist or an awesome detective or an awesome tech-guy or an awesome ninja, but not all of them at the same time.

The Trinity are amazing characters that have always been the most recognizable since I started getting into comics. And I really love all three. They each have a different view of the world they live in, yet stand side by side and believe in each other, to the point of going against their personal beliefs.

Batman will always be my favorite, though. Just seeing a human who can stand as tall as the other two god-like beings is always interesting. Now, I really enjoy reading the other two characters, but I love the Bat.

But, I’m totally biased. Been watching/reading all things Batman since I was two or so.
