We have been waiting for nearly a year for word on when the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Dice Masters set would arrive, and good news everyone! It’s today!

This is a very different Dice Masters set than what we have seen before. Instead of a starter set and a gravity feed with the potential to get 60+ characters, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Dice Masters only comes in the collector box set.

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Box Set contains everything 2-4 players need to play. Available for $34.99 MSRP, it makes a great purchase for players who want to learn to play Dice Masters, or for veteran players who want the entire Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Set in one package!

I don’t know if it is because the number of characters in the TMNT universe is limited, or if WizKids just figures we all want to have Leonardo and Deadpool team up, but at least we are able to add the turtles and friends into our next Major Spoilers Dice Masters tournament.

My guess is that this was intended as a stand-alone to appeal to parents of younger players. I know a lot of non-gaming parents who don’t grasp the concept of boosters and think it is just a money grab to buy more “required” parts when you really don’t NEED them to play. Better chance they will spring for this without wondering why they have to buy all the extras since it is pretty much all-in-one.

Either way, I’ve been looking forward to this since it was announced, so I’m glad it is finally here.
