When Doctor Who finally returns in 2017, he’ll have a new companion played by Pearl Mackie.

Mackie’s acting resume is fairly light. IMDB lists her in a movie called Svengali, and the TV series Doctors.

    My stupid ruminations:

    – They missed an opportunity to mess with fans & tweak them into an internet frenzy. They could have released the name of the new character first, without mentioning who was cast, to stir up talk of “are we getting away from a female companion? Is that good/bad?”

    – I wonder if the name is a nod to Billie Piper.

    – I know it’s not likely, but I’d love it if this was the only time we see the Daleks during the tenure of this next companion.

You know you have something to say, say it in the comment section
