This week, after a nearly three-year wait, I finally got to sit down and watch The Venture Brothers Season 6…
TOTALLY worth the wait, you guys! I wasn’t sure how they could top S5, but from the first moments of the debut special, I was once again hooked (and thanks to the magic of aging, this time, I got to watch with The Widget.) Though my favorite parts were all Monarch-related, it provided character development for everyone from Brock to Gary, and created new characters who are as fascinating as the old, leading to today’s arch-query…
The MS-QOTD (pronounced, as always, “misquoted”) still regrets writing this show off as a bad Jonny Quest parody at the beginning, asking: What season/issue/volume of your favorite pop-culture stories was most worth the wait to get?

Probably last volume of Blade of the Immortal. Its a samurai manga I had been following from pretty much immediately when Dark Horse started to put out translated paperback volumes in 1998. Last one, vol. #31 was released April 1st 2015.
It started when I was a young 17 year old boy, it ended when I was a grown 35 year old man. That was a memorable and even little sad moment, its perhaps my most treasured complete series of comics.
