If you like the small hometown comic convention, Manhattan, Kansas will be your destination spot this weekend, as the first Little Apple Comic Con kicks off at the Hilton Garden Inn.
I’ve been to a number of conventions across Kansas over the years, and it is always good to see new ones spring to life. Lawrence has the Free State Comic Con, which let’s you get close with guests, vendors, and other attendees, and I seem to remember a little show called Planet Comic Con that started on the basketball court of the Johnson County Community Center, before breaking big, so I’m excited to see where LACC is headed.
Confirmed guests for this weekend’s event include Alex Grecian, B. Clay Moore, Greg Smallwood, Erica Batton, Jai Nitz, Jeremy Haun, and Seth Peck. If I’m not mistaken, all of the guests are from the greater Kansas City area, so here’s yet another chance to rub elbows with creators working in the industry.
Tickets for the event are $10 for adults, $5 for students and military, and kids 10 and under get in free. The Little Apple Comic Con takes place at the Manhattan Conference Center on February 27 from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
