Alterna launched its Kickstarter campaign to print several books the celebrates the ten years the company has been in business.

Alterna is making two books that include character guides and an anthology series.

Book 1 – A 40 page FULL COLOR character guide filled with amazing characters from our creator-owned catalog. Remember the trading cards of the 90’s with all the cool character info on the back? This is kind of like that, but in comic book size and with one regular cover and one blank variant cover for artists and collectors!

Book 2 – An Alterna AnniverSERIES Anthology FILLED with some of our best stories from the past ten years. Some of this material has never seen print as it was only published digitally. There’s also stretch goals in place to double the size of this book, up to 400 pages thick! Between its covers you’ll find space-traveling children, swash-buckling sky pirates, zombies invading the battlefields of World War 2, sadistic prison guards, wise-cracking Area 51 agents, an alien with an identity crisis, a band on the run, an ass-kicking woman warrior with a demon-slaying hand of magic… and so much more! The Alterna AnniverSERIES Anthology is the absolute perfect addition for readers old and new.

The campaign is hoping to raise $3,500 over the next 14 days to cover expenses, and there are several reward levels you can get in addition to the two books.

Having run Major Spoilers for 10 years, I know exactly how it feels to compete with bigger companies that want to squeeze you out, or try to make you go away. If you like the books Alterna has published over the years, you can contribute to their Kickstarter, here.
