DC Comics has released the first image of Megalyn Echikunwoke as Mari McCabe (aka Vixen) for her upcoming appearance in Arrow.

Echikunwoke has been the voice of Vixen on the CW Seed series by the same name, and now she’s moving into the live action arena. Vixen was recently renewed for a second season on CW Seed, and since the series takes place in the Arrowverse, many have been wondering when her transition to the live action world would happen.

A street smart model who inherits a mysterious family heirloom that grants her the powers of the animal kingdom, Mari first met Green Arrow and the Flash during the debut season of her series.

We don’t have to wait too long to see Vixen on the small screen, the actress is set to appear on Episode 15, “Taken”, which should air on February 24th.

I’m pretty excited about this announcement for two reasons; first, the producers aren’t replacing the voice actress with another performer, and two, I’m loving the expansion of the DC Universe on television.  What about you? Use the comment section below to share your thoughts and reactions.

    Yes! I love Vixen!
I wonder if they are going to keep the animated series in-continuity with the live action ones.
