It’s always easier to see the flaws in others’ behavior than in your own. While I have no idea what I might resolve for myself, I know that, in 2016, Bruce Banner needs anger management classes. Mal Reynolds should resolve to let go of the pain of the past, and Buffy Summers really needs to address her attraction to the bad creatures she’s chosen to combat. Indeed, making up a New Year’s Resolution for your Imaginary friends is more satisfying than for one’s self, (Deadpool should start taking his meds regularly) leading to today’s easily broken query…
The MS-QOTD (pronounced, as always, “misquoted”) might also resolve for the lady-friends of George Costanza, Ross Gellar and Ted Mosby to be more discerning in their choice of men, asking: What resolution do you think would most benefit your favorite fictional character(s)?

While not one of my favorite characters exactly, though he is from one of my favorite franchises, I think Hal Jordan needs the resolution “Stop being such an unlikable jerk”. But I don’t know if that is realistically possible.
Han Solo would benefit sometimes for considering the odds.
