We already know that Arthur Darvill plays Rip Hunter in the upcoming DC’s Legends of Tomorrow series, but a single time traveler must have a boss, right? In this new clip, viewers are introduced to the Time Masters.

On Thursday January 21, The CW kicks off a new night of action and adventure with the highly-anticipated series premiere of DC’S LEGENDS OF TOMORROW. When heroes alone are not enough… the world needs legends. Having seen the future, one he will desperately try to prevent from happening, time-traveling rogue Rip Hunter is tasked with assembling a disparate group of both heroes and villains to confront an unstoppable threat – one in which not only is the planet at stake, but all of time itself.

If you wonder why Time Masters is such a cool name for this organization, it’s because Rip Hunter… Time Master first appeared in Showcase #20 in June, 1959. There was another Time Masters series in 1990 that ran for eight issues that featured Rip and company, and in March 1991, DC Comics introduced the concept of the Linear Men and their headquarters at Vanishing Point that is the current basis for the Time Masters team we saw above.
