We’ve seen some behind the scenes shots of Benedict Cumberbatch running around Nepal in civilian clothes, but today, we get to see Doctor Strange in all his glory!
The image comes from Entertainment Weekly, which has a habit of getting the big first reveal of many comic book properties.
Presenting your exclusive first look at Benedict Cumberbatch in the most magical Marvel movie EVER!…

Looks really great, if you ask me. Even the detail in the Eye of Agamotto looks really good. According to the EW article, this photo is the first time Cumberbatch put on the costume. Considering the movie just started production in November and won’t be done until March, this shot was probably done weeks before principal photography began.
I think the thing that most comic book fans will be interested in knowing is how magic will fit into the world of science that has been set up in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Doctor Strange arrives in theaters in November 2016.

I like what I see so far. The costume looks like the character without becoming too “cartoony” or cheesy. I shouldn’t be surprised because the MCU has been fantastic for the most part and have done a decent job capturing the likeness of characters, but I’m still a little cautious after what comic book movies were like for so many, many years before that.
